One of the most common things we hear from families after bringing home one of our kittens is:
“She follows me everywhere.”
“He sleeps next to my kids every night.”
“She acts like she has always lived here.”
And honestly, this is exactly what we hope for.
At Pretty Fold, our Scottish Fold kittens are raised very differently from large commercial breeding programs. Our kittens grow up inside our home in New York as part of our everyday family life. They are surrounded by people, children, household sounds, love, attention, and daily interaction from the moment they are born.
We never raise our kittens in cages or isolated rooms. From their very first weeks, they are gently handled every single day, learning to trust people and feel comfortable around human interaction.
We truly believe that early socialization plays one of the biggest roles in a kitten’s future personality.
Because our kittens grow up in a loving home environment, they often become extremely affectionate, emotionally connected, and confident companions. Many of our families tell us their kittens:
follow them from room to room,
sleep beside their children,
enjoy cuddling,
quickly adapt to other pets,
and become part of the family almost immediately.
Temperament is just as important to us as appearance. While we absolutely love the plush coats, folded ears, round faces, and rare colors Scottish Fold cats are known for, we also carefully select our breeding cats for their gentle and sweet personalities.
As a TICA registered Scottish Fold cattery in New York, our goal has never been simply to raise beautiful kittens. We want every kitten to grow into a healthy, social, and deeply loved companion for their future family.
