ABOUT PRETTYFOLD
About PrettyFold Cattery
PrettyFold is a home-based cattery in Staten Island, New York, raising Scottish Fold, Scottish Straight and British Shorthair kittens.
Our kittens grow up in our home, surrounded by people and receiving daily attention from their earliest days. We focus on health, thoughtful socialization and helping every kitten make a comfortable transition into their new family.
OUR CATTERY
Raised at Home as Part of the Family
At PrettyFold, our cats and kittens live with us as part of the household. Kittens are handled from an early age, socialized with children and introduced to the everyday sounds and routines of a family home.
This early attention helps them develop confidence, trust and the social skills they need before joining their new families.
We also remain available after adoption to answer questions and provide ongoing breeder support.
OUR APPROACH
What Matters at PrettyFold
Health Comes First
Our breeding program places careful attention on genetic screening, veterinary care and the long-term well-being of our cats and kittens.
Raised With Daily Attention
Kittens grow up in our home, where they receive regular handling, interaction and care throughout their development.
Support Beyond Adoption
PrettyFold families receive guidance before bringing their kitten home and continued breeder support after adoption.
HEALTH & RESPONSIBLE BREEDING
Responsible Breeding Begins With Healthy Parents
The health of our breeding cats is an important part of the PrettyFold program. Our cats undergo DNA testing for inherited conditions, and bloodlines are screened for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy through echocardiograms.
Before leaving PrettyFold, kittens receive age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, microchipping, veterinary evaluation and spay or neuter surgery. Companion kittens also receive pet-only TICA registration paperwork and genetic health coverage subject to the terms of the PrettyFold Adoption Agreement and Health Guarantee.
